The Broken Plate is accepting submissions from September 1, 2008
through October 31, 2008.
All works submitted outside this period will not be considered.

The Broken Plate is happy to receive simultaneous submissions
but will not print previously published works.
We will respond within 4 months.
Please do not query before 3 months from date of submission.
The magazine will pay 2 copies to all authors selected for publication.

POETRY
Send 2-4 poems copied into the body of an email. It is unlikely that
we will accept poems over 60 lines.
The subject line should read:

Author's Last Name:POETRY:# of works.

e.g. Jones:POETRY:4

*Ball State undergrads should send submissions from Ball State email account
and add BSU to the end of the subject line.

Please do NOT include poetry and prose in the same email.



PROSE
Send any number of prose (fiction/nonfiction) pieces with a
combined word count not exceeding 7,000.
Work should be copied into the body of an email.
The subject line should read:

Author's Last Name:FICTION or NONFICTION:# of works.

e.g. Jones:FICTION:1

*Ball State undergrads should send submissions from Ball State email account
and add BSU to the end of the subject line.

Please do NOT include poetry and prose in the same email.
